Files

Overview

The Files section is your wedding's media library — a central place to store documents and images that you want to attach to messages (Save the Date, Invitations) or reference elsewhere in the app.

Uploading files

Click Upload Files to open the upload dialog. You can upload multiple files at once. Supported file types include images, PDFs, and other common document formats.

{info} There's no strict size limit shown in the UI, but keep files reasonably sized so they load quickly for guests in email attachments.

Managing files

Click any file card to open its management panel on the right. From here you can:

  • Rename the file — set a display name that's more descriptive than the original filename
  • Add a description — a note visible to you and collaborators (not shown to guests)
  • Change visibility — toggle the file between public and private (see below)
  • Download — get a copy of the original file
  • Delete — permanently remove the file

{warning} Deleting a file removes it from any messages it was attached to. Check usage before deleting.

File visibility

Every file is either public or private. The current state is shown as a badge in the management panel.

  • Public — the file can be served over the web. This is required for any file used as an image on your wedding site (hero image, footer image, story photos, etc.).
  • Private — the file is only accessible via a secure, signed download link. Use this for sensitive documents, or anything you don't want directly accessible by URL.

To change a file's visibility, open its management panel and click Make Private or Make Public. You'll be asked to confirm before the change takes effect.

{info} Files uploaded to your library default to public. If you attach a private file to a message, guests can still download it — they just can't access it by URL directly.

Using files in messages

When creating a message template (for Save the Date or Invitations), you can attach files from your library. Guests will be able to download attached files from their message.

This is a great way to include a PDF venue map, accommodation guide, or digital invitation design.
